The legal position of injectable HGH is anchored at a federal and local level.
I will assume that by now everyone knows that injectable HGH is a prescription Drug.
The list of Federally Controlled Substances does not include HGH. The list is 21 USC § 812(c).

So far so good, you would think, ...but...

The Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act covers injectable HGH in 21 USC § 333(e)
and prohibits the distribution of injectable HGH or possession with
intent to distribute HGH for any use in humans other than for
recognized medical reasons and with a consequent valid prescription.
Violations may be punishable by imprisonment of up to 5 years or
10 years if a minor is involved (under 18 years).
Posession for personal use is not acted on in these laws.

So if you are singled out with a large enough quantity.....
and I don't even want to talk about minors!

Of course, as we all know, each and every state has the capability to regulate on its own.

  • Maine and Massachusetts: all prescription drugs are controlled substances.
  • Oregon, Idaho, Rhode Island, and West Virginia: HGH is a controlled substance.
  • Colorado: HGH is a controlled substance and its distribution is a felony.
  • Minnesota: HGH is (indirectly) a controlled substance.
  • Illinois: non-medical distribution of HGH is a felony.

So be sure you really know what you are doing (even with a prescription)
